About
Hi, I’m Geoff.
I’m the one person behind Cocoacorn — a UK-based studio making small, considered iOS apps for health and everyday life.
I’ve been a software engineer for thirty years — systems, networking, security, desktop, web, mobile. I love the act of making: turning nothing into something a person opens on a Tuesday and finds useful.
I signed the Apple Developer Agreement in 2015, full of ideas. I dabbled. I never shipped. It wasn’t that I couldn’t — I just didn’t think anyone would care about what I was building. Then life took over: marriage, children, the usual gravity. Mobile development went on the shelf.
Cocoacorn is me taking it back down.
Why health apps? Because it took twelve years to get my daughter diagnosed with fibromyalgia, hypermobility, IBS, and POTS — and I watched what those twelve years cost her, up close.
The apps in this suite are the tools I wished had existed across that road. The ones that would have shortened the path to diagnosis. The ones that would have made specialist appointments land harder, taken paperwork off her, and given me — as her carer — a way to know how she was doing without making her explain it again.
Every app here traces back to a specific moment in that journey where something was missing.
Cocoacorn is small on purpose. I’d rather make a few apps that genuinely help than a lot of apps that don’t. Every release is shaped by people who actually use them — if you’ve emailed me, you’ve probably nudged the roadmap.
How I work
A few things I won’t compromise on.
Privacy by default
Your data lives on your device and syncs through your private iCloud account. No analytics, no trackers, no servers I can read.
Made by hand
Every pixel, every animation, every sentence in the FAQ — written by one person who cares whether it feels right.
Built to last
I ship slowly and maintain what I make. The apps you buy today should still feel cared for years from now.
What I’m making

Why “Cocoacorn”?
Two ideas, mashed together.
Cocoa is craftsmanship and warmth — the feeling that something was made by hand and meant to last. Software should feel warm and human, not cold and disposable.
Corn is the unicorn — imagination, originality, a little bit of magic.
Together: magical apps, crafted with care.
